On 29 April, the annual Teacher and Staff Appreciation Dinner took place in the rooms of the SPB after school hours. For one evening, the space usually filled with games and children playing was transformed into a warm and festive venue, complete with elegant white tablecloths, a Sekt bar, and a large international buffet.

The evening was organised through the joint efforts of the GEV, Friends of WMIS, and dedicated parent volunteers, all coming together to create a memorable night for the teachers and staff of our school community.

One of the highlights of the evening was the incredible international buffet, generously donated by parents. The wide selection of dishes reflected the wonderfully diverse WMIS community, with cuisines ranging from Italian, Ethiopian, Greek, Nigerian, American, and Vietnamese, among many others. The drinks for the evening were kindly sponsored by the Friends of WMIS.

A large number of teachers and staff attended and enjoyed the opportunity to relax together, share a meal, and celebrate the strong sense of community that makes WMIS so special.

The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the live performance by Machete Horns feat. Regis Molina. Their energetic set and vibrant atmosphere quickly got everyone onto the dance floor, and it was wonderful to see teachers, staff, and parent volunteers all dancing together and enjoying the evening. The music brought an extra sense of joy and celebration to the event and created a truly unforgettable atmosphere that carried on late into the evening.

It was truly a magnificent event that brought teachers and staff together for a night to remember. A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who contributed their time, food, energy, and support to make the event possible.

We are already looking forward to next year’s edition!
